Oakmere’s team of experienced PGA coaches provide expert tuition for all standards of golfer either individually or in groups. We have the latest technology including Trackman 4 and Toptracer range in our covered, floodlit driving range. We also have mirrors indoors, numerous outside practice areas for putting, short game, approach and bunker play.
Through our experiences in the game and our PGA education, we appreciate that every golfer is different. That’s why we offer a range of lessons and bespoke packages to suit everyone.

Our Staff
Matt Whelband - PGA Head Professional
Matt is our fully qualified PGA Head Professional with over 15 years of experience. Since moving to Oakmere, Matt and fellow Professional Jamie Jarvis now run the Junior Academy with over 50 juniors - and growing! His coaching philosophy is simple but effective - getting the client to "own" their swing. Matt also has access to numerous launch monitors (Trackman/FlightScope/Toptracer) to help the golfer gain valuable data whilst coaching or club fitting. Jamie Jarvis - Director of Golf
A fully qualified PGA Golf Professional who began his golfing career here at Oakmere at the age of 12. Qualifying and gaining his PGA Qualification at the age of 23, Jamie has been teaching for the last 11 years and has become the Head Junior Coach and runs numerous Ladies classes throughout the week. He has a passion for coaching and is a great option for any golfer of any standard. Jamie has recently franchised the driving range and runs this as his own business. He is constantly striving to make his Academy a more friendly, fun, welcoming and warm place to be. Jamie is also your contact for any electric trolley problems you may have.
